Owned and operated by a former Veterinary Technician, Dog Walkers of NOVA was first established in 2012. Starting a business caring for the needs and working with animals has been a lifelong goal of Marc since he was a small child. As a native of Burke, VA, Marc had early exposure to just about every type of animal. As a child, Marc's mother worked in a pet shop where she frequently brought her “work” home with her whether they were to socialize pets or to rehabilitate them back to good health. Pets ranged from dogs, cats, ferrets to parrots to gerbils, and even a monkey at one point.
Also growing up, his father was a police officer who spent many years as a Police K-9 officer where he was exposed to the obedience training of German shepherds, two of which lived at home. While attending college at West Virginia University, Marc started volunteering at local rescues and working part time as a kennel assistant. This love eventually grew into him becoming a Veterinary Technician for 8 years working at local animal hospitals including Reston Animal Hospital and Ashburn farm Animal hospital. While working in animal medicine full time, he continued to volunteer with local rescues. To this day Marc has personally fostered and found new loving homes for about 15 dogs. He has also helped with hundreds more.
Owner/Dog walking specialist/pet sitter
Marc has a special gift with almost all animals and gives out a very gentle vibe, despite his former Defensive Tackle physique, which makes most animals comforted by his presence.
Marc's specialties in the veterinary industry range from handling and calming aggressive animals, vast knowledge of pet diet and health and holistic medicine.
Marc currently resides in Chantilly, VA with his two pups, Brutus(Boston Terrier) and Achilles(Miniature Dachshund). While he only has two small dogs of his own, he can handle all breeds of dogs at any size and has a special affinity for pits and rotties.

Dog Walking specialist/Administrator
Since Marc's older sister was born, she too, has been surrounded by animals. Growing up in a household where her father was a K-9 police officer and her mother was the manager of a local pet store, there has never been a shortage of dog hair in her life!
After many years serving as an office manager, Kim finally decided to incorporate her love of animals into her career and joined her brother's business. At first she handled administrative aspects, but recently decided to join our dog walking team.
In her spare time, Kim enjoys spoiling her 2 granddaughters and her Yorkshire Terrier(named Pretty) absolutely rotten!
